The Work Avenue Recruitment Service has been refreshed and updated to tackle rising unemployment and economic uncertainty in the community.
The hands-on service connects employers directly with job-ready candidates, working closely with both businesses and applicants to understand hiring needs, shortlist the most suitable talent, and support the process right through to a successful placement.
Work Avenue CEO Debbie Lebrett said: “We have seen first-hand the gap between talent and opportunity, as well as how everybody is struggling in the current economic environment.
“By updating our direct recruitment service, we can bring a thoughtful, effective and tailored service to both jobseekers and employers – assisting businesses to access motivated, well-prepared candidates, while ensuring our clients move into sustainable, meaningful roles more efficiently.”
The Recruitment Service is headed by Work Avenue Job Placement Lead Yael Brodie and Recruitment Coordinator Tali Lewin, who bring complementary expertise and experience. Yael specialises in recruitment and candidate support, with a focus on building relationships and matching individuals to the right opportunities. Tali has a legal background, offering a strong understanding of professionalism, compliance and attention to detail.
Yael said: “Our goal is to create a smooth and supportive recruitment experience for everyone involved. We’re focused on understanding what employers need while ensuring candidates feel confident and prepared as they move into the right roles.”
Tali added: “We’re really excited about what this new Recruitment Service offers. It’s about recognising people’s strengths and potential, and making meaningful connections between candidates and employers so that both can thrive.”
The initiative complements last year’s launch of The Work Avenue Freelance Agency, the first and only such programme for the Jewish community.
The Freelance Agency, funded by The Maurice Wohl Foundation, connects businesses and charities who need support in key areas with skilled freelancers who are ready to take on immediate short-term projects.
Services offered by the Freelance Agency’s pool of trusted freelancers include bookkeeping, digital marketing, web design, graphic design, administration, copywriting and more.
Debbie added: “The Freelance Agency is the perfect complement to our Recruitment Service, adding an extra pathway for those building their freelance careers, while giving businesses flexible support across key services to help them grow.”
